I wonder if you remember me. We went out briefly so many years ago it feels like it happened to different people or it would do if was not still carrying baggage from back then. For a long time, I felt ashamed about our relationship and how badly you treated me but at the same time I wanted to believe you liked me. Now I realise that both my shame and expectations were misplaced, the former at least belonging entirely to you. No need to panic, I don’t plan to tell your children or your current wife, I won’t talk to a friendly journalist, won’t make accusations on social media or anywhere else. I am doing this for me and if you feel remorse so much the better. There is one thing I should tell you. After we broke up I found out that I was pregnant but I did not go through with it. Perhaps you deserved to know but truly, I don’t believe you deserved anything.
